Enquanto procurava por informações sobre o Campeonato da Europa de Sevens, deparei-me com esta iniciativa, bastante interessante, da Federação de Rugby Austríaca. Uma iniciativa, imagine-se só, patrocinada pelo Ministro dos Desportos austríaco. 

Enfim, assim se vê a distância que a nossa federação está da federação austríaca...só 2882 km.

CLOSING THE GAP -Raising the level & standard from the “Bottom” up for a better rugby challenge for all!

RUGBY Nations with confirmed participation (EM 2008 Football Nations): Austria/ Bosnia/ Bulgaria/ Croatia/ Czech Republic/ Finland/ Luxembourg/ Serbia/ Hungary and still to confirm: Poland/ Romania/ Switzerland and cancelled:Germany/ Russia

This event is taking place under the patronage of our Chancellor, Dr. Alfred Gusenbauer, the Austrian Sports Minister, and was made possible by the project www.fussballverbindet.at

As a result of their financial assistance we can offer the following funding to the first 8 Nations to sign up a team and confirm their participation in the ENTC & Tournament Day: 
50% of accommodation costs covered by Sports Ministry - A funded National Team = max. 15 people (12 players, 1 coach, 1 manager & 1 functionary /union rep. /referee) More than 8 Nations & 15 people per team are welcome to participate but they must unfortunately cover 100% of their accommodation costs on their own or through their union.
